About Us

The Lauren Johnson Lose Someone Help Someone
Memorial Fund
(L1h1) was established in July 2017
By Jim, Melissa and Addie Johnson as a way to
celebrate Lauren's life and to find healing through helping others.

Established in 2017

Lauren lived life to the fullest and made every effort to make a difference along the way. She loved art and it was her therapy. She appreciated life and fought hard through a very serious heart/lung condition (Pulmonary Hypertension). She enjoyed cooking, loved celebrating holidays with family and friends, a good game, the rodeo and her favorite cowboy. Her extended family and friends meant the world to her, especially her little sister! And she was the center of our world!  She died April 4, 2014 and will be forever 21 . . .
This is a short introductory video of a teen healing heart workshop.

L1H1 Mission

Grief support; Encouraging healing through helping others.

To provide opportunities and mechanisms for grievers, their support systems and others to learn, serve, give and work together through the grief process, recognizing the importance of a healthy outlet for grieving, the value of a support system, gratitude and the need for ‘paying it back’ to those who have helped grievers through the process need paying it forward to those in need (whether monetary or deed), which in turn develops resilience and the opportunity to see that there is goodness in this world, even after such difficulty and pain.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

the Father of compassion

and the God of all comfort,

who comforts us in all our troubles,

so that we can comfort those in any trouble

with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

2 Cor 1:3-4
