Grief magnifies things

I have one now...I use it often...it is never out of reach. As I get older it becomes more valuable to me. It is my magnifying glass! Sometimes I need a little bit of help, a little bit of magnification to see clearly.
Our response to grief can also magnify areas of life.
If I have a "little problem" with alcohol...a significant loss can magnify that problem. If I have a "little problem" with drugs or medications...a significant loss can magnify that pro...blem. If I have a "little problem" with my temper...a significant loss can magnify that problem. If I have a "little problem" with social contact...a significant loss can magnify that problem. If I have a "little problem" with being a workaholic...a significant loss can magnify that problem.
Often following a loss there can be a desire to escape the pain, to run from the loss. But trying to escape instead of understanding and working on the grief can create even greater issues.
Please do not try to run away. It is never the right approach. Seek counseling, talk with a friend. Trying to ignore or escape the grief could magnify the pain.
I am here to guide and support you. No fees, no costs. Let's look for options when they are hard to see.
