Friends - Takers and Givers

Our relationships either "build us up" or they "tear us down". That is a powerful statement, and perhaps it is surprising. But take a look at those you consider to be FRIENDS, even on social media. Do you enjoy conversations with them, or just endure them?
It has been my experience that some people TAKE from us emotionally, depleting our energy and positive attitude. There are people who can find the negative in any situation and stay focused on it. Bein...g around negative people can impact us emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
In contrast will be those who are positive and uplifting to be around. These people GIVE to us emotionally instead of take from us.
Time spent with these people will encourage us to deal with hardships in life, they lift us by their words, their presence, and their attitude. These are our "cheerleaders" in life. Seek them out, identify them, and replenish yourself regularly with their input.
Basically, this is self-care we can control. We make decisions who we spend time with. Let's intentionally spend less time around negative influences and more time around positive influences.
Let's do this. It can be a small step with great results.
