Secondary losses (cont)

There are constant reminders that we lose more than a person when they die. Everything changes. We may also experience the:
...
Loss of INNER PEACE
Loss of HEALTH
Loss of SELF-ESTEEM
Loss of FAITH
Loss of PLANS
Loss of MOTIVATION
Loss of LAUGHTER
Loss of ENERGY
Loss of TOMORROW
Loss of DESIRE
Loss of PURPOSE
A loss in any one of these areas is a grief issue. Grief is not as simple as some people think. We cannot just "get over it". It involves so many areas of life. Grief is complicated and can be very difficult.
We will have one more day looking at SECONDARY LOSSES. I will highlight a very important one in our next session.
Then we move on toward the "tools" to soften the pain of loss. It is important to lay a foundation of recognizing NORMAL responses and SECONDARY losses.
Thank you for following and sharing these articles. ⚘🙏⚘🙏⚘🙏⚘🙏
