Find an Oasis

OASIS: the definition of an "oasis" is a fertile place where there is water in the midst of a desert or a place of calm in the midst of chaos. For example: an underground spring in a desert or a calm peaceful room in the midst of a chaotic house. (YourDictionary)
I believe the word CHAOS could describe our society and our country today. COVID has changed every area of life. Many are dealing with mental and emotional challenges that are usually under contr...ol.
We need an "OASIS".
We need a place of refreshing, a place of peace and calm. Finding such a place does not change the chaos, but it can be a life-saving place for us. One key to locate an OASIS is to look for growth, such as trees in the desert.
Actually, this is a good rule for life. Look for something, or someone, who is growing. Some people are at a standstill with no growth in life. Others seem to have found life in the midst of struggles.
Even after a loss it is possible to grow, to make progress in self-care. It is possible to begin the slow process of putting life back together after it has been shattered thru loss. Of course it takes time. But it matters what you do with your time. It also takes commitment, determination, and support from friends and family.
Look for your OASIS, your sign of hope, peace, and calm. Seek the one who will care and listen to your heart. That person can be your OASIS in the desert.
Personally, I find my OASIS thru a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, THE giver of eternal life.
