Decisions

It was a new concept to me because I was not raised to think this way. For me, it was always a matter of deciding what I wanted to do...then accept the results of my decision.
But, somewhere along my educational pathway I was introduced to another way of making decisions.
Following a loss, even the simple decisions can be very difficult. The range may go from not being capable of making any decision to just trying every idea that comes to mind.
...
When faced with a decision, especially a major decision, consider writing down the options. First list every option you can think of, every idea possible to deal with the decision you need to make. Then expand upon each of these options by listing the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE results if you select that option. What would that choice lead to?
The outcome should be a thoughtful decision based upon the POSITIVE outcomes. Try this process with your next decision. It may lead to a better outcome because of the POSITIVE and NEGATIVE awareness.
