"A Mourning Moment" by Bob Willis
Do you realize the prints on each of our fingers and each of our toes are different from all other fingers and toes? They are totally unique to us!
Our fingerprints and toe prints are formed in the womb approximately 3 months before birth. I can recall seeing the imprints of hands and feet on birth certificates. AMAZING!!
"For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother's womb" (Psalm 139:13). God made all of our delicate parts while we were in the womb. Each person is designed and created for a purpose. We are UNIQUE!
Our loved ones who died were also unique. One of a kind. We were blessed to know them, now blessed by our memories of them.
This side of Heaven I will never understand why there are stillbirths while others live a century. Often it appears a Godly person dies while the rascals of society seem to prosper. I have decided all that is "God's Department" and not for me to understand. But I can still ask Him...Why?.
Treasure items that have the fingerprints of your loved one on them. But. more precious than that, treasure the impact they made upon your life. They left "heart-prints" like no one else could do. While we grieve their absence, we should also recognize and celebrate their memory.
But remember, they were unique. God has a purpose for creating each person. We may not understand that purpose until we step into eternity. Then we will understand...God does not make mistakes.
